History
We are built on innovation, tradition, and modernity
1927
The beginning of the journey
Marimex began its journey in 1927, then operating as A. Melchor & Cia. At the time, coffee was our country's greatest wealth. Keeping pace with this growth, we were driven by the rise of agriculture and port activities, and started transporting grains until the 1950s.
1950s
Start of Port Activities
At this point, we began port operations and became Marimex Customs Brokerage.
1997
Customs-bonded Port Facility
This year, alongside our Customs Clearance and Road Transport services, we began operations as a Bonded Port Facility. Today, Marimex continues to write its history, valuing the past and building a future with transparency and modernity.
2007
General Warehouses
In addition to IPA for import, export, and customs bonded warehouse cargo, Marimex is launching General Warehousing operations, providing even greater flexibility to clients.
2017
New Marimex Headquarters Opening
Boasting a unique and highly innovative design, the installation features cutting-edge network infrastructure, modernizing operations.
2018
Freight Forwarding
We have now launched our Freight Forwarding services, forging partnerships with leading companies at major ports and airports worldwide.
2020
International Road Transport - Mercosur
International road freight transport services to Mercosur play a crucial role in fostering commercial and economic relations among the bloc's member countries. This service enables the efficient and direct movement of a wide range of products, from raw materials to manufactured goods, facilitating foreign trade operations.
2020
General Data Protection Law
New investments to enhance services: LGPD implementation, the appointment of a Data Protection Officer, and the availability of a direct communication channel.
2021
 Ethics Channel
Introducing the Ethics Channel, in partnership with Contato Seguro, created to facilitate the submission of identified or anonymous reports regarding conduct inconsistent with Marimex's Compliance standards. This tool reinforces our commitment to transparency and integrity.
2022
Logistics Management - LATAM
Marimex's Logistics Management services are designed to enhance efficiency and coordination across all stages of foreign trade operations in LATAM.
2023
Integrity
The 'Integrity' program is designed to strengthen and consolidate Marimex's ethical culture, helping to prevent and respond appropriately to illicit and undesirable acts.

The transformative power of knowledge
Marimex develops and participates in social responsibility initiatives in cultural areas, aimed at young people, students, and agents who can shape the future.
We believe that, as a large company, we can contribute significantly to the quality of life in the community where we operate, setting an example to motivate employees to do the same. Furthermore, we support other institutions that play a similar role for the benefit of society.
