9th-grade students from municipal schools in Santos and São Vicente are getting the opportunity to visit the Marimex logistics terminal through the “Getting to Know Port Professions” project, developed by the company itself. The initiative aims to showcase the opportunities offered by the Port of Santos, encouraging young people to reflect on their life plans.

Since 2018, Marimex has been inviting students from the region's municipal school system to get a close look at the Port of Santos complex, with excursions directly to one of its terminals. The goal is to expose these young people to the various career options offered by the company and guide them in choosing a professional path that aligns with both the information gained during the visit and their personal aspirations. This way, when they enter high school, they will have more maturity to make decisions about their future.

The event focuses on supporting students in developing their life plans, helping them to more deeply understand their personal and professional goals and ultimately, to create a plan to achieve them. The idea is to prepare them to make more mature decisions about their future, considering the vast opportunities that the port industry, including Marimex, offers in various fields. Many of these opportunities are unknown to students who are precisely in the transition phase between pre-adolescence and adolescence. The initiative includes discussions and various activities, both individual and group-based.

At the end of the visit, students share their impressions on a message board. "One of the most important conversations of my life," wrote Frederico, a student from Escola Carolina Dantas, after one of the terminal experiences. In total, 4,000 9th-grade students have already participated in this project at Marimex, and the expectation is for the number of visits to continue growing.
